Built during the Japanese colonial period, the Hualien Sugar Factory has a history of over a century. After experiencing the rise and decline of the sugar industry, it was transformed into a tourism sugar factory in 2002. Preserving Japanese-style buildings, old sugarcane transport locomotives, and various historical artifacts, it allows visitors to relive the past.
