The Language of Calla Lily is Purity, Happiness, Comeliness, and Innocent Love

Calla Lily has two different languages of flowers, “Grandiose Beauty” comes from its shape, and “purity and cleanness” from its color. New varieties of Calla Lily are introduced these years, and Calla Lily of different colors are given different languages, for example, color yellow is like-mindedness, pink is sincerity, and orange red means interest in the opposite sex.
There are two kinds of Calla Lily, hygrophyte and terrestrial. The former is the common white lily. And its alternative variety is green which is also called “ Green Goddess”. Terrestrial Calla Lily is represented by color red and yellow. There is a stretch of yellow Calla Lily fields in Taichung and they grow on the road where the drainage is well functioned. Calla Lily of different colors can be found in the markets, and they are from the yellow and red varieties.
Zhuzihu, at an elevation of 670 meters, is within the protection of Yanmingshan National Park which has the best environment to grow Calla Lily. The annual production of white Calla Lily here accounts for 80~90% of that island wide. There are 17 to18 varieties of Hydrangea in Zhuzihu and the colors also vary. The farm owners exert their creativity to build the landscape and floral decoration every year in accordance with the themes so that it is a popular check-in spot.

Xihai in Dayuan hosts festival of colorful calla lily annually, the vast stretch of floral sea of calla lily is only held here in Taoyuan.
Festival of Calla Lily is held in Xihai, Dayuan once a year with a duration of 16 days. Theme of the Year is “Ocean”, and the colorful calla lily is arranged like a floral sea. Together with the installation art of a large floral pattern carpet where halobios fall in love with calla lily in Xihai.

Xihai Leisure Farm Area is rich in agricultural resources, its ponds and ecology as well as the farming culture make it the leisure farm with the most ponds and lakes. It is also the leisure farm closest to Taoyuan international airport. Rice and flowers are the main produce in Xihai Leisure Farm area, which includes bountiful touristic destinations, such as the Hechun Flower Farm, Flower and Herb Leisure Farm, Liushuqing Horticulture, Dahe Quality Rice Factory, for holiday trips. In addition, Xihai Leisure Farm Area has multiple ponds for migratory birds to rest and forage, which is a wonderful shooting spot amateur and professional photographers can’t miss!
Xihai is near Taipei Metropolitan Area, and the main produce is cut flowers and ornamental grasses with flowers. It is now the production source of cut flowers for domestic flower markets such as HuWei, NeiHu and Jianguo. It was also an important supply area for Taipei Floral Expo and now the most crucial flower production area in Northern Taiwan. The most eye catching flowers are water lily, sunflower, freesia, and calla lilies of various colors which are the featured product of this area.

Floral Sea of Calla Lily in Waipu

Calla lily is not only found in Mt. Yangming but also Waipu in Taichung from March to April. The greatest feature is the yellowish calla lilies which are all terrestrial, and tourists don't have to go to the northern Taiwan to see them. When in season, the flowers always draw plenty of visitors who are welcome to enter the farm where is great for photo shooting, free of admission. Or visitors can buy these yellow calla lilies and bring the purity and beauty home to enjoy.
