Hualien - Mambo Fish, or Mola Mola, has a huge body and is usually caught by trap nets set in the east coast. Mechanical excavators or cranes are required to move them from a ship to the harbor deck. Currently, about 80% Mambo fish in the market are supplied from Hualien and the fish haul of Shin Chen Township, or the area with the highest density of trap nets, is top in Taiwan.
