Tens of Thousands of Hydrangeas Blossom to Welcome the Early Summer

Hydrangeas around Taiwan blossom in one place after another which makes every May to July the romantic season.
The colorful and beautiful clusters of flowers are the perfect backdrop for girls taking photos in early summer. When Hydrangeas of all kinds of colors such as pink, white, blue or purple are randomly in full bloom in the green mountains, so captivating!
Hydrangea belongs to Saxifragaceae family, with large flowers and bright colors. Its inflorescences are spherical, hemispherical, or flat. Mophead is the common commercial variety in Taiwan because it looks like the ball in silk for ancient Chinese weddings so that it fits the festive occasions and is a common shrub plant.

There are 17 to 18 varieties of Hydrangea in Zhuzihu and the colors also vary. The farm owners exert their creativity to build the landscape and floral decoration every year in accordance with the theme so that it is a popular check-in spot. The Gao’s Hydrangea Garden

The Gao’s built the leisure farm in a unique way for the nature and ecology. It has 3 large hydrangea gardens, a gorgeous environment. And the feature of the first one is a flower wall with millions of flowers and a path in the flower field that is the popular check-in spot on IG; the second is the hydrangea field on the plains with an heart-shaped installation, bird-nest chairs and space chairs which are photo shooting spots tourists can't miss! And the largest 3rd garden with an area of 26446 square meters, is the emerging popular secret world that has stretches of hydrangea fields with hundreds of thousands clusters of mophead flowers, presenting a romantic view.

Terraced Field

Also a popular tourist spot when hydrangea is in season on Mt. Yangming, Terraced Field looks splendid with hydrangea flowers of 4 colors- red, purple, blue and white. A white hanging canopy of flowers brings a touch of romance and beauty to the field, one of the must visit for lovers of hydrangea .

Caifu Hydrangea Garden

There is a perfect view to enjoy all the flowers from the cafeteria. Though the area of this field is smaller than that of the Gao’s, the paths in this garden are well built so tourists can dress up and take nice photos without getting dirt on their clothes.

Caojiaohuatianxiang (The Cao’s Hydrangea Field)

Located in the same direction as Terraced Field, the Cao’s is full of hydrangea flowers and there is a cottage, as if in a fairy tale. The abundant decoration and arts made of hydrangea flowers as well as the creative garden featuring hydrangea go along with the desserts and coffee served here.

Fir and Pine Leisure Farm

The 3 paths on the hills of the farm are filled with hydrangea flowers in full bloom. Each of them offers a different perspective to watch the flowers and the tourists who took photos here look like fairies in the forest.

Flower Home

Flower Home is a garden featuring flowers and herbs. It is the most popular tourist spot for hydrangeas in central Taiwan when the flowers are in season. There are flowers, herbs, and a vast lavender field on the farm. Flower Home also organizes seasonal floral show. The layers of the floral sea is deliberately designed. Besides the vast field of flowers, there is also a wall of flowers, each has its own specialty.

Ching Shan Farm

Ching Shan Farm is said to have the most beautiful sea of hydrangea flowers on the eastern coast. It is located on Mt. Jinzhen and the farm owner grows, asides from the sea of day lilies, ten kinds of hydrangea varieties, up to 600 shrubs, so there is a 1.5 km long hydrangea path when the flowers are in full bloom .
