Crabs in Wanli are ocean crabs. Go to seafood stores with tanks carrying fresh water and choose lively crabs there!

Crabs in Wanli are wild, unlike the farmed crabs with precise sizes, size of crabs in Wanli doesn’t matter.
Those with some weight as well as strong, thick and firm abdomens are succulent and scrumptious!
Male or Female
Their sexes are told by apron shapes- males with pointy aprons and females with rounded aprons. The male's brown meat is full of “muscles” so that many shipmen recommend to taste males. If you want to try crab roes, wait till lunar October when they are the most fresh and tasty!
