The sun-loving refractive sunflower comes in many varieties and colors— single petal, double petals, single floret, double florets, and even intense colors such as two-toned, picotee, deep red and white. After petals fell this flower leaves behind a disc-like hull full of seeds. It is the national flower of Peru.
