Ginger Garden is on County Highway 130 near Sanyi and Dahu. Driving to the highest point of the highway, we heard the buzz and realized we were at our destination. The parking lot is right outside of the Tourist Information Center. Pulling over is also ok. In addition, the entrance to Chu-guan Historic Trail is right here that the tourists along the way are seeming the flowing stream.
A guy outside of the Tourist Information Center was frying the ginger, emanating the ginger aroma together with the brown sugar. The ginger tea is served free here. Sipping the tea so the mouth is full of spicy ginger flavor, which warms the body up. The couplets in the Tourist Information Center reads “Having turnips in winter and gingers in summer keeps the doctor away” which is truly local wisdom.
