Taomi Fish and Shrimp Ecological Exploration not only brings kids to know the environment and animals, but also takes the parents to review the natural ecology.
The river by the mountain is not polluted and river is low to calf height. So the exploration is conducted in the safe area and led by professional docents who introduce all kinds of fish, shrimps and plants.

Wearing the boots provided by the organizer and walking to the river through the lanes by the main road, visitors are surrounded by the trees and green without knowing many of them. However, the docent can tell the names of the plants in the surroundings and even made a wood sorrel toy.
As a butterfly flying by, the seasoned docent who loves photography immediately told us its scientific name, which brings the creatures that we don’t pay attention to significance and meaning.

Walking into the cooling river, visitors couldn’t help themselves and started playing with water. Kids were just playing happily with big smiles on their faces.
The docent reached his hand to the river and took up a trap he placed there the night before. We saw many fish and shrimps jumping inside. He threw them into a small box and introduced their characteristics as well as names to us. He even let kids have these creatures in hands to feel the vibes and have the first hand experience of the miracles of nature.

Trekking along the river which is just about calf height is a safe activity. Kids above 3rd grade in elementary school can participate in this exploration. For parents’ information, do not miss such a signature activity on Taomi Recreation Farm when you are in Nantou!
