Rows of tea trees are planted on the hills and when rays of sunlight around 4pm slant from the opposite of the garden on the tea leaves, the view is golden and bright that gives an illusion as if it were an exotic country. Another reason to pluck tea is because of no pesticide used in the organic garden. The green leaf¬hop¬pers (Jacobiasca formosana) are often found on the tea trees, while tea experts will introduce the knowledge of teas to visitors. Taiwanese drink a lot of hand shaken tea drinks, but we hardly know about tea. This is a good opportunity to learn to tell green tea, black tea, and chin hsuen apart, as well as fermentation. It can be a rewarding trip.
